Submission guidelines

How to send work

Small Orange is open for submissions year round through submittable.  

To be considered for publication in an upcoming issue of Small Orange, please:

• send up to seven pages of poetry for consideration

• include a brief (50-60 words) bio

• We accept literary translations. Please include the original version along with the translated version in your submission, along with a brief bio of the poet being translated (if other than yourself)

Simultaneous submissions are welcomed, but just let us know as soon as possible if the work has been picked up elsewhere.  We do not accept previously published material.  We try our best to respond in no more than four months, but feel free to send us an inquiry if you do not hear back from us in that time frame.
