APRIL 2021
All artwork for this issue are paintings by Mary Dischell (1916-2017), who was an American painter educated in the New York City public schools where she received the St Gaudens Medal for her art work while a high school student. Too poor to attend Cornell where she had been accepted, she put her art on hold until her late thirties when she began a productive period that lasted into her nineties. The subjects of her work are women and the celebration of the friendship of women. Her paintings are held in numerous private collections.
